Op. Dr. Cem Akaltun, Gynecology and Obstetrics Specialist. He is the owner and content editor of HeryerGebe.com. As a physician who comes from clinical practice, he founded this site to provide Turkish readers with practical tools (calculators) and current clinical information (guides) that pregnant women and healthcare professionals need in daily practice.

What is HeryerGebe.com?

HeryerGebe.com is an independent and evidence-based Turkish platform for pregnancy tracking. It offers:

  • Pregnancy calculators: EDD (estimated due date), gestational age, weight gain, calorie needs, BMI, kick-counter, ovulation calendar and clinical calculators (preeclampsia risk, VTE risk, OGTT interpretation, Down syndrome risk, anomaly screening weeks).

Why This Site?

There is a lot of information about pregnancy on the Turkish internet, but it is often unsourced, outdated or published by commercial content creators. The aim of this site is to present guideline information actually used in clinical practice in plain Turkish – with verifiable references such as ACOG Practice Bulletin number, RCOG Green-top version, NICE NG201 surveillance review date. The calculators are exactly compatible with the live guide formulas; In clinical guidelines, each recommendation is specified with its source.

Our Editorial Approach

  • Evidence takes precedence. Contents are produced according to international obstetrics/maternal-fetal medicine guidelines (ACOG, RCOG, NICE, SMFM, WHO, FIGO), UpToDate, Cochrane systematic reviews and primary literature hierarchy.
  • Transparency. When there is a difference of opinion between authorities, each organization's proposal is presented side by side by name; No single source is declared "true".
  • Simplicity. Technical topics are explained in an understandable language without compromising accuracy.
  • Current. Clinical contents are reviewed at least once a year; When the relevant guidance is updated, the change will be reflected within 30 days.
